Organelle & Subcellular Marker Lentiviruses

Fluorescent lentiviral reporters for reliable visualization of intracellular structures

Cellular compartments include membrane-bound organelles and dynamic subcellular structures such as mitochondria, lysosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, nucleus, vesicles, autophagosomes, cytoskeleton, and plasma membrane domains. Precise labeling of these structures in living cells is essential for studying organelle function, intracellular trafficking, and cellular dynamics.

LipExoGen’s Organelle & Subcellular Marker Lentiviruses are high-titer, ready-to-use fluorescent lentiviral particles designed for stable or transient expression of organelle-targeted reporters. Compared to transient plasmid transfection, lentiviral delivery provides more consistent and uniform expression, enabling reliable imaging and long-term studies.

These reporters utilize bright, photostable fluorescent proteins (e.g., mEGFP, mCherry) fused to organelle- or structure-specific proteins, allowing direct visualization of targeted compartments in live cells without additional manipulation. Labeled cells can be imaged by fluorescence or confocal microscopy and are also compatible with fixation (with paraformaldehyde) and downstream immunocytochemistry.
